Guadalupe Peak, TX

Presiding high over the Chihuahuan Desert, Guadalupe Peak is Texas’s wonderful, rugged highpoint. I hiked it in the winter of 2024 with my friend Alex, who’s also joined me to such disparate highpoint as Hawaii and Washington DC. The most notable thing about Guadalupe Peak was the extreme wind, with gusts in the windy winter reaching nearly 100 miles per hour.
